It turns out that my own dog, Pepper has Pyometra. This is a life-threatening infection in the uterus that causes the growth of bacteria and pus. Thankfully, Dr. Hwang was able to kindly explain the situation after a whole day of evidential bleeding from our love and the steps that are need to be taken. It has been decided to take her to the surgical room for an operation. I'll keep everyone updated.
My First Surgical Experience
The operation was a success!!! It was such a privilege for Dr. Hwang to allow my to take part in the operation as an intern and look over Pepper throughout the whole time. Although it was my first and nerve-racking experience in the surgical room with my truly cherished dog, I was truly inspired by this cherished moment. Dr. Hwang's confidence in the operation inspired my goals to aspire to be able to save lives just like him in any given situation. It was again such a wonder and coincidence that my mentor would be saving the life of my love one. Thank you to all who helped in the operation room and online. Thank you again.
A couple of hours later...
Pepper has woken up and it back up and eating again. Pepper has always been a food lover and I'm glade that she is already recovering...
